Author of the conspiracy thriller ‘The Shape of Rain’, Nick Hirst has just completed his second novel. ‘The Bumper Book of 21st Century Predictions’ is a futuristic, geopolitical conspiracy thriller set in 2084. Making many predictions about the political and tech landscape of 60+ years in the future, it tells the story of one man’s dangerous struggle to expose a man-made global threat.

Nick Hirst is a former BBC producer and Head of Music for BBC Radio 2 – the national and most popular music radio station in the UK. Prior to this, he had been the first professional TV and radio presenter on Saudi Arabia’s English language TV and radio services. 

As a writer, he has contributed over two hundred magazine and internet articles on subjects as wide ranging as music, football and finance and worked on the script for the 2015 documentary film ‘Sugar Blues’ by acclaimed Czech director – Andrea Culkova. With hundreds of radio programmes to his name, he has interviewed some of the biggest names in music around the world for the BBC including Ozzy Osbourne, Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb (The Bee Gees), Paul McCartney, Lemmy, Chris Rea, Marvin Hamlisch, Cher, Fiona Apple, Melissa Etheridge, Susannah Hoffs (The Bangles), Bill Wyman, Nils Lofgren, Lynryd Skynyrd and Megadeth and many more. He now spends his time writing, blogging and providing copywriting and proofreading servcies to English language websites. He also teaches English to a wide variety of students in the Czech Republic where he now resides.
