Born in 1950 in the quaint village of Alfriston in East Sussex, England, United Kingdom, nestled between hills in the Cuckmere Valley, the author had a magical childhood roaming the hills, meadows, river banks and wooded landscapes with his then, two brothers and friends.

Due to circumstances beyond his control, following a Judo accident in 1972, leaving him in both physical and mental pain, he has lived an extremely solitary life. During the last 35 years, he's devoted himself to the pursuit and search of the one actual reality, the peace within, living alone and in virtual solitude, ending his sufferances and beyond…

For the last four years, he has been living in retreat, like a Buddhist monk or a Holy man. He hasn't left his home, where poetry started to stream from his mind four years ago, flowing like beautiful clear waters of an underground mountain spring bursting forth into the radiant light of the dawning sun.

Though he wrote four poems back in 1989, only one he remembers now is titled "I am but what I am", and he has recently written a revised version, adjusting only the last line, reflecting his newfound self and his contented peace within!
